Rest Breaks Survey 2007

These are the results of the joint survey conducted by EEF Western and EEF East Midlands & Mid-Anglia on the provision of rest breaks in the engineering and manufacturing industry.

The aim of this survey is to provide organisations in the engineering and manufacturing industry with an authoritative source of information on the length and type of rest breaks provided for manual employees and staff working on various shifts.

The report is organised into three key sections:

1. Manual employee overview
2. Staff overview
3. Shift comparisons for manual employees and staff.

All data contained within this report has been collected from member companies of EEF Western and EEF EEMA between April 2007 and May 2007. All data is current as at 18th May 2007.
