Low Pay Commission Consultation on the National Minimum Wage - have your say

The Low Pay Commission has recently asked EEF to give evidence on the National Minimum Wage for its NMW report, to be submitted to the government by the end of February 2008. EEF members can input into the process by sending in their views.

'Ladder Exchange' now Running

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is once again advising workers to be wary of using potentially dangerous ladders. Every month 100 people fall off a ladder at work and suffer serious injury. This year the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is running 'ladder exchange' in a bid to remove 4000 dodgy ladders from workplaces across the UK.
