Welcome to the first issue of our new member newsletter, EEF iNSIGHTS.
We will be sending you a copy every quarter to tell you
about our activities, events and the new and enhanced services that we will be offering our members in the north west of England and North Wales.
We have undergone a significant transformation. In October we amalgamated our nine regional associations in England and Wales into a single organisation, giving
us the ability of a national organisation to deliver a greater
range of regional services whilst maintaining the benefits of local relationships.
Our ethos hasn’t changed: we exist to serve our members and reinvest our profits into services which benefit them.
Our diverse membership in the region extends right through the manufacturing value chain.Manufacturing businesses have long been dominant; find out
more about how important this sector is to our regional economy in our Spotlight on the North West.
We all know that conditions are getting tougher, but at EEF we think there is a huge opportunity for the manufacturing sector to continue to be competitive, dynamic and future focused. We recently welcomed the government’s new national manufacturing strategy, which we were pleased to see was heavily
influenced by our campaigning on behalf of our members.
As always, our aim at EEF is to support you and help you prepare for the challenges ahead, through such events as the recent manufacturers’ breakfast summit in Lancashire, for example (See our report on the event - 'Regional manufacturers tackle the future together').
