Welcome to the first issue of our new member newsletter, EEF iNSIGHTS.
We will be sending you a copy every quarter, to tell
you about our activities and events as well as the new and enhanced services that we will be offering our members in the south west region.
I am looking forward to leading the south west region of EEF as we add increasing value to the businesses of our members.
We all know that conditions are getting tougher, but at EEF we think there is also a huge opportunity for the
manufacturing sector to continue to be competitive, dynamic and
future focused. We recently welcomed the government’s new national manufacturing strategy, which we were pleased to see has been heavily influenced by our campaigning on behalf of our members.
Despite the economic challenges facing our sector, I am constantly
encouraged, in my dealings with member companies, by the ability, enthusiasm and resilience of those who manage them.
I have every confidence that our sector in the south west has the calibre of management to take advantage of the opportunities for growth which will arise.
