New 'mothers at work' guidance now available

HSE has updated its website providing health and safety advice for new and expectant mothers.

The site offers people the opportunity to chat to an adviser, and includes new leaflets such as the HSE guide for New and expectant mothers who work and  advice from the DTI on Pregnancy and work: what you need to know as an employee.

It also has a wide range of frequently asked questions, such as What notification does an employee have to provide? and What actions are employers required to take?

The new information is available on the HSE website.

EEF is currently reviewing its guidance on family leave and flexible working. The updated publication will be available later this year.
