DTI Strategy Paper "Success at Work - Protecting Vulnerable Workers, Supporting Good Employers"

The DTI has today published a strategy paper, “Success at Work – Protecting Vulnerable Workers, Supporting Good Employers”, that details the Government’s commitment on employment relations for this Parliament.

1. The DTI has today published its strategy paper, “Success at Work – Protecting Vulnerable Workers, Supporting Good Employers”, that details the Government’s commitment on employment relations for this Parliament.

2. This strategy paper is intended to set out how the Government is planning to implement the employment aspects of the so-called Warwick Agreement that was reached between the Labour Party and the trade unions at the University of Warwick prior to the last General Election. It also identifies a number of issues on which the Government has indicated it is not proposing to legislate during this Parliament.

3. This comprehensive DTI strategy paper which covers a wide range of issues and will be providing further details in the near future. For information, a copy of the text of the press release that has been issued today setting out EEF’s initial relation to this DTI strategy paper is attached as an Appendix to this Circular Letter.
