Union Modernisation Fund – Round Two

The DTI has recently announced the timetable for the submission of applications and the decision-making process for Round Two of the Union Modernisation Fund (UMF). A new priority theme for applications to the UMF has been set by the DTI of capacity building to support training and development for equality representatives.

The DTI has recently announced the timetable for the submission of applications and the decision-making process for Round Two of the Union Modernisation Fund (UMF), a fund of between £5m and £6m that was established by the Government to “provide financial support for activities which will assist trade unions to modernise”.

This timetable is:-

20 April 2007 - Deadline for submitting application forms
May 2007 - Sift of applications by DTI Officials
June 2007 - Sift of applications by the UFM Supervisory Board
July 2007 - Recommendations submitted to Ministers
September 2007 - Announcement of successful applications
