respecting the rights of individuals

The sixth data protection principle is that employers must ensure that, in processing information about individuals, they observe the rights those individuals have under the Act. These rights, including individuals' right to have access to the information that is held on them, are explained elsewhere in this appendix (subject access rights), (automated decision-making).
