Nominations for STAR Awards - for outstanding people in education, skills and training

Since their inception in 2004, 5,000 people have been recognised for their contribution to the sector, working within a diverse range of jobs from workplace trainers, college managers and prison tutors to administrators, learning and support workers and cleaners.

Have you met or worked with someone remarkable in education and/or training?  Why not nominate them for a STAR award, a national recognition of excellence.

  • Outstanding E-Learning Practitioner, sponsored by Microsoft
  • Outstanding Volunteer, sponsored by Tribal Group
  • Outstanding Subject Learning Coach, sponsored by LSN
  • Outstanding Member of Support Staff, sponsored by Unison
  • Outstanding Support to Learners, sponsored by learndirect
  • Outstanding Work with Learners with Learning Difficulties and/or Disabilities, sponsored by Remploy
  • Outstanding Work with an Employer, sponsored by LSC
  • The Learner's Choice STAR Award (Open only to nominations from learners)
  • Outstanding Leadership, sponsored by CeL
  • Lifetime Achievement, sponsored by the Institute for Learning
  • Outstanding Innovation and Inspiration, sponsored by QCA
  • Outstanding Support Team, sponsored by LSC

Nominations must be received by 21 April 2006.
