Apprentices
Several of our Associations run Apprentice of the Year competitions to celebrate the extraordinary achievements of Modern Apprentices. Contact your Regional Association to find out more.

EEF Year in Industry Contribution to Business Awards
Recognising the achievements of young people involved in the Year in Industry scheme, these annual, regional and national awards celebrate the unique contribution of individuals to the companies that have employed them. WISE Awards
The Women Into Science and Engineering Excellence Awards recognise the achievements of women who work to promote careers in science and engineering to other girls and women. The Award is presented by HRH The Princess Royal. For more information, click here.

Jaguar F1 Team in Schools CAD/CAM Challenge
Although primarily for school-age children, there is a new apprentice class in this international competition to design, make, test and race a miniature Formula 1 car.

Young Engineers for Britain
A section of this competition is open to 16-19 year olds working in industry.

Young Woman Engineer of the Year
Presented by the Institution of Incorporated Engineers.

Engineering Professional Development Awards
This scheme aims to assist companies with this task by providing funds to support training programmes dealing with the development of their engineering staff. Awards of up to £10,000 will be made to selected companies submitting training programmes for the company year 2003/2004. In addition, prizes of £1,000 are being offered for each of the three most innovative applications.
