Economic Briefing April 2007

On balance, we think the evidence this month supports a ‘no change’ decision in April. That said if evidence on output prices grows and the forthcoming pay round in April sees a sharp increase in settlements there may be justification for another quarter point rise sooner rather than later.

In this issue:

  • March MPC meeting
  • Inflation
  • Manufacturing
  • GDP growth
  • Housing market
  • The consumer
  • International: the German econic outlook
