European Briefing - 04 March 2005

The week ahead in the EU

There is little to report in this week’s Briefing, so instead we concentrate on the agenda for the week ahead when there are three Council meetings – Competitiveness Council, Economic and Monetary Affairs Council and Environment Council - and a European Parliament Plenary in Strasbourg. Next week’s briefing will contain a summary of the Employment and Social Affairs Council which took place on 2 – 3 March 2005. In addition EEF will be meeting with MEPs in Strasbourg to raise our concerns on the EU’s REACH chemicals directive.
