In July 2005 The Control of Vibration at Work Regulations came into force. These Regulations require that employers carry out an assessment of the risk associated with hand arm vibration (HAV).

A certain amount of calculation is involved, and although this can be done by means of published tables and diagrams, we recommend the use of a calculator, which must have a square root key.

Understand the dangers associated with exposure
Carry out an assessment as required by The Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005
Measure hand arm vibration and calculate daily exposure

This course is aimed at all those who are involved in the management of hand arm vibration either as Managers, Consultants, Health and Safety Advisers or Occupational Health Specialists. The course is designed to be accessible to those who have some experience in at least one of the fields covered; health and safety management, vibration measurement, occupational health or risk management.
