Every year about 500 people are killed at work and several hundred thousand more are injured and suffer ill health. It has been shown that workplaces with Health and Safety Representatives have a much reduced accident rate compared to those with none.

This course will enable participants to:

Comply with their responsibilities as a health and safety representative within the workplace
Work more closely with their organisation and colleagues to further improve health and safety standards within their organisation

This course is aimed at Safety Representatives, including those nominated as internal Safety Representatives or Representatives of Employee Safety. It is also of value to anyone managing a work unit, preparing a Safety Policy or taking on new responsibilities for health and safety.
