Enhance your environmental management skills

This one-week supplement to the IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management is designed to develop and strengthen the environmental management skills of health and safety practitioners and other suitable candidates. Emphasis is placed on integrated pollution control with selection of the best practicable environmental options. Assessment is by written examination and submission of an environmental audit report of the candidate's workplace.

Delegates must complete the 2 week IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management prior to this final week to gain the NEBOSH Specialist Diploma in Environmental Management

You will gain:

• an understanding of techniques for monitoring emissions (air, water, waste and noise)
• detailed knowledge of air pollution control, effluent treatment and disposal of hazardous waste and environmental noise control
• how to select the best, practical environmental options using:
  • dispersion modelling
  • environmental impact assessment
  • risk assessment
  • cost benefit analysis
• an understanding of environmental auditing in effective pollution control management
