Course Overview

How to identify and control the use of hazardous substances at work

Using hazardous substances at work is a very common practice, whether they are:
  • those used directly in work, e.g. solvents, adhesives and cleaning materials
  • those which arise from the work, e.g. dust, fumes and waste products
  • those which occur naturally, e.g. fungal spores in agriculture or Legionella bacteria.

This course is designed to help understand the principles of working safely with these substances and gives an overview of the CoSHH Regulations.
