Advanced Employment Law

Everyone is affected by employment law but few people understand its context and its relationship with other aspects of the legal system.

Course Overview

Nowadays HR professionals and senior managers cannot be without a good grounding in the essential elements of employment law and the risks that it can pose to an employer.

This course builds on the knowledge acquired in Basic Employment Law and allows you to provide authoritative and practical guidance on employment issues to line management. The law on unfair dismissal and the contractual relationship will be covered in depth. Issues of discrimination, bullying and harassment will be dealt with in an informative and practical way and with real life examples used to illustrate the impact of the law in this area. Family and parental rights and new legislation will also be examined. Each delegate will be provided with well-recognised, up-todate and authoritative guides and texts to allow them full access to detailed guidance in their normal day to day roles.
