Proposed changes in legislation suggest that mediation will become an important approach organisations use to resolve workplace conflict. This programme is designed to give a broad introduction to the topic of mediation. It will demonstrate its value as an early, low level intervention to stop conflict between people escalating into internal and external formal proceedings.

The programme is participative, with an emphasis on providing clarity about the structure and process of mediation as well as an opportunity for participants to demonstrate the skills required in mediation sessions.
