The training uses exercises, analysis and discussion to facilitate learning, supported by related handouts and input from the trainer. We also offer a two-day in-depth programme for those with some experience of carrying out projects to help them develop the principles, tools and techniques of project management.

• How are projects identified and defined? What issues need to be managed during the life of the project?
• Planning - reviewing the key elements in an effective plan. The importance of dependency, critical path, milestone identity and the use of relevant charts to illustrate these and other important factors.
• Monitoring - obtaining and using accurate and reliable information to track progress and take decisions.
• Project Teams - the skills and behaviours required by team members and the role of appropriate leadership.
• Completion - how should the project results be handed over to the end user?

• how to document project plans

One-day: Anyone who is a member or a leader of a project team but has no previous training in this area of their work.

Two-day: Anyone with some experience of carrying out projects who wishes to develop their understanding and practical skills.
