Working in an office or at a workstation brings its own sets of do’s and dont’s and this course is designed to highlight these and how to keep employees safe while working at their desks.

This course will give you an overview of the key points to assess when monitoring health and safety in an office environment. It will advise you on the main areas of concern and how to identify problem areas.

• Introduction to health and safety covering the moral. legal and economic factors
• Basic risk assessment
• The ergonomics of office setups
• Anatomy and physiology and the static stress of desk based work
• Display screen equipment (DSE) risk assessment factors
• Practical DSE risk assessment
• A working knowledge of modern Safety Management Systems and their practical application
• An awareness of their role and function in relation to dayto- day responsibilities for health and safety management
