A Review of the New TUPE Regulations

Course Overview
On 6 April 2006, the revised TUPE Regulations came into force. The new regulations extended to situations where there is a change in the provider of a service and introduced a new duty on the old employer to supply information prior to the transfer and new rules on varying contracts of employment and dismissals connected with the transfer.

In this half day seminar, we will explain the new regulations, developments since their introduction and offer guidance on how to operate within them.

  • Situations when the TUPE regulations apply
  • Service provision changes
  • Business transfers
  • The protection of employees
  • Provisions relating to pension schemes
  • Varying the employment contract
  • Redundancy
  • Unfair dismissal
  • Employer liability
  • Information to be provided to transferee
  • The duty to inform & consult employee representatives
