2007 was a year of change in the employment law field and this is set to continue in 2008.  Employers will be confronted with new work and families legislation, the extension of employee information and consultation arrangements to companies with 100 employees and an increase in holiday entitlement under the Working Time Regulations. We are also anticipating restrictions on opting out of the 48 hour average working week, restrictions on the use of agency workers and changes to the statutory dispute resolution procedures. In addition, the cases under the new age discrimination and TUPE regulations will have emerged. This update will cover all these developments.
