Retirement Planning

Course Overview

Retirement represents a major life change and it is important some thought is given to the impact the change will have. This course is designed to raise awareness of key issues and to help make plans for retirement. Some of the topics covered include:

  • Goals, hopes and concerns for the future
  • Financial planning
  • Pensions
  • Health & fitness
  • Leisure time

This course is aimed at all staff who are within 5 years of retirement.

Partners are invited to participate fully in the workshop, as both need to plan for the future and manage the change in their lives

The government's Code of Practice called "Age Diversity in Employment" recommends the use of phased retirement where possible and the provision of pre-retirement support.
