Setting up a Staff Council

The Information and Consultation of Employees Regulations 2004 apply to undertakings employing 50 or more employees. Employers may face a statutory request from employees for information and consultation arrangements. Alternatively, it may be to an employer’s advantage to establish a staff council voluntarily.

  • The role of the central arbitration committee
  • Protection for employee representatives
  • Setting up information and consultation committees
