The NEBOSH (National Examinations Board for Occupational Safety and Health) General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety is one of the most recognised qualifications in the health and safety profession. This level 3 course provides a solid foundation into health and safety. Assessment is by examination comprising two written papers and a practical assessment. The practical assessment consists of carrying out a safety inspection and preparing a brief management report.

Candidates will receive the NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety upon successful completion of all examinations.

This qualification is designed to help those with health and safety responsibilities such as Directors, managers, supervisors, employee representatives and health and safety practitioners to discharge more effectively their organisational duties and functions.

This is a demanding programme. Whilst no prior formal academic qualifications are required, delegates will be required to complete short management style reports and take two formal examinations. Previous experience in health & safety and attendance of training courses would be advantageous although not essential.
