Certificate in Employment Relations, Law and Practice (CERLAP)

This programme has been designed to introduce you to the key elements of employment law and practice. It is a Level 3 qualification based on CIPD’s foundation level professional standards and delivers the skills and competencies required by today’s HR professionals.

Course Overview

12 taught days (1 per month) plus 4 workbooks to be completed in your own time. CIPD recommend 240 hours study time to complete the course. This includes all taught sessions, reading and completion of all assignments. CPP is delivered by professional tutors with established HR practitioner experience. Sessions feature guest slots delivered by our employment law solicitors, barristers, HR & Employee Relations teams. Group size is deliberately restricted to ensure maximum participation. Delivery is through a mixture of methods, involving delegates in group exercises and discussions. Training is practical and applied, rather than just theory from a text book.

Who Should Attend?

HR officers, advisors and administrators or anyone who provides support in key areas of employment law in their organisation, as well as anyone embarking on a career in HR. No formal prior qualifications are required; however candidates will need to have a level of numeracy, literacy and IT skills to enable them to participate and complete the assessments.
