Managing Redundancy

It is an unfortunate fact of life that, from time to time, organisations find it necessary to implement redundancies. Consultation can be difficult in any circumstances but is perhaps at its most contentious when it relates to collective redundancy consultation, which is necessary when 20 or more redundancies are proposed within a period of 90 days, with a risk of an award of 90 days’ actual pay per affected employee if consultation is inadequate.
This half day course addresses both the legal consultation requirements in both small and larger scale redundancy situations and the practical employee relations aspects of managing collective redundancy, placing delegates in a strong position to manage the redundancy process as smoothly as possible.
