The cost to the Employer of Employment Tribunals is expensive and the new rules on Statutory Dismissal and Disciplinary Procedures are onerous.

Taking part in an Employment Tribunal Hearing can be a daunting experience even for the most experienced Manager.  This course is designed to give Managers an understanding of how claims are conducted at a Tribunal Hearing and gain in confidence when appearing before an Employment Tribunal

The Tribunal will consider :

• The evidence given by the witnesses at the Hearing;
• Whether the Claimants were dismissed fairly and take into account:
  • Tribunal Rules of Procedure (in force from 1st October 2005);
  • Fixed Period of Conciliation;
  • Statutory Dismissal & Disciplinary Procedures

The purpose of the day is to allow participants to attend and take part in a realistic Tribunal case. You will be provided with a copy of the case papers in advance, the day will be interactive and you will have an opportunity to be cross examined in the witness box. You will have the chance to be involved in and to discuss the decision making process.
