People skills for new managers

The primary requirement for those taking up management or team leader positions is people skills, yet by definition they have not yet had the chance to develop them. Usually promoted as a result of technical excellence as one of the team, the skills required to take on team leadership for the first time are rarely well developed in new managers.

This two-day course concentrates on the key techniques and skills that create confident new people managers, covering the principles of people management and team building.
