Once again, we are celebrating the innovation, dedication and sheer hard work of manufacturers large and small with manufacturing business awards that recognise achievement across the board. Now in its fourth year, the EEF Future Manufacturing Awards is Britain's biggest and most prestigious manufacturing awards programme.
The search is on to find the UK's best manufacturers. Businesses of all sizes and talented apprentices are invited to show how they've made it by entering the EEF Future Manufacturing Awards which launched on 30 March 2012.
The EEF awards are free to enter and provide many opportunities to win, with 12 individual awards across six categories. Regional winners of each award go on to compete in the national finals for the chance to be crowned a National Winner of the EEF Future Manufacturing Awards. Both regional and national winners and runners-up gain high profile publicity for their business, as well as the accolade of winning a prestigious industry award.
The regional and national awards recognise outstanding business performance in business growth and skills; innovative operating practices and people management; environmental achievement and manufacturing export success. They also celebrate the achievements of apprentices and young engineering students – saluting those young people who are the rising stars of UK manufacturing.
EEF Chief Executive Terry Scuoler says:
“UK manufacturers achieve greatness, yet rarely step into the limelight. Our awards, now in the fourth year, celebrate the outstanding achievements of our diverse manufacturing sector and the talented young apprentices who are shaping the future. The awards underline the dynamic manufacturing industry that is steering economic recovery and which we can all be proud of.”
Our judges are seeking examples of inspiration, passion, creativity, ingenuity, and sheer hard work. Chair of Judges Professor Steve Evans of the Institute for Manufacturing, University of Cambridge, says:
"The EEF Awards expose the outstanding business performance and drive behind our industry, and it’s these success stories that demonstrate the important role of manufacturing in a balanced economy. We encourage businesses to share their experiences and wisdom with EEF by entering the awards in 2012."
The EEF Future Manufacturing Awards will be judged in five regions across the UK and regional winners will be announced at celebration events sponsored by Santander Corporate Banking, in November. The regional winners will then compete for the national awards at a prestigious ceremony in London in January 2013.
Other sponsors include ENER-G; JAM Recruitment; Rolls-Royce; Semta and Westfield Health.
