EEF's Alternative Medal Table. An Update

Felicity Burch August 08, 2012 14:06

There's a post over on the Make it in Great Britain website which talks about the technology behind the bicycles used by team GB in their cycling successes this week...

So I think it’s time to update last week's alternative medals table.

After a stunning performance on (exports of) bicycles the following awards have been made:

Overall winners:
1. Ireland
2. Germany
3. Netherlands
There were also some impressive performances outside of EU markets too. Top non-EU exports of bicycles go to:
1. United States
2. Japan
3. Australia
And as the sailing's on right now… which countries win when it comes to exports of sports and leisure boats?
1. Hong Kong
2. France
3. United States
So… after this second round of medals where do the countries stand?
Gold Silver Bronze Total
1 United States 2 0 1 3
2 Ireland 2 0 0 2
=3 South Korea 1 0 0 1
=3 Indonesia 1 0 0 1
=3 Libya 1 0 0 1
=3 Hong Kong 1 0 0 1
