New 'Green Finance Blog' from Green Alliance

Jeegar Kakkad December 04, 2009 14:11

From Chris Hewitt of the Green Alliance:

As part of our sustainable economy work, Green Alliance is starting a new blog to track and disseminate developments in the rapidly growing debate on creating a Green Investment Bank and financing low carbon investments from green bonds.

In recent weeks, George Osborne, Shadow Chancellor has backed the idea of creating a Green Investment Bank. Vince Cable, from the Liberal Democrats has also proposed a National Infrastructure Bank.

The Green Finance blog will provide commentary on the latest developments in this policy area, as well as links to the work of the growing number of organisations promoting new ways to finance the low carbon transition.

Regards,

Chris Hewett
