NetRegs to Launch a Spring Campaign

NetRegs are launching a Spring Campaign, urging small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in the UK to “ Check up, Wise up and Clean up ” when it comes to environmental legislation and their responsibilities. The campaign runs from 19 March, with the launch of the online Waste Directory and will continue for eight weeks.

Throughout the intensive eight-week campaign, work will be concentrated in key areas, including media relations, partnership brokering with trade associations, commercial partnerships and advertising. There will also be a regional radio campaign specifically targeted at the construction industry.

NetRegs are targeting three key areas: agriculture, construction and manufacturing. Within manufacturing, food & drink, printing & publishing and machinery have been selected for particular focus.

The campaign aims to increase general awareness amongst businesses in the three targeted sectors of their environmental responsibilities, and how by using NetRegs they can keep on top of environmental regulations.

The campaign will also promote the updated Waste Directory tool, which will enable businesses to identify licensed waste sites closest to their location. Members can find out what types of waste can be recycled or disposed of where, and can be directed to suitable waste carriers.
