For safe working at height ensure:
- tasks currently completed at height are reviewed to see if they can be completed from ground level (e.g. window cleaning);
- operations are properly planned and use appropriate equipment (you may wish to use a ‘permit-to-work’ system to improve control);
- operators working at height are competent and fully understand the equipment being used and the risks (you may want to ‘license trained staff); and
- all equipment used is fit for purpose, inspected and properly installed/used.
