EEF Member Connect showcases award-winners to share how manufacturers grow and compete through environmental acumen and innovation

This month, Diodes Zetex Semiconductors will host an event at its Oldham site to show EEF members from a range of companies how to turn environmental challenges into business opportunities.
In 2010, Diodes Zetex won the national EEF Future Manufacturing Award for its development of an innovative lighting component which harnessed the climate-friendly benefits of LED lamps.
The site has halved its carbon footprint over a period of three years. Dave Benstead, HR Director at Diodes Zetex, said winning the national EEF award has inspired the company to even greater performance.
"Winning has encouraged us to spread the word far and wide in the hope many more organisations will follow our lead," he said.
"It put a big smile on everyone’s faces and gave a huge boost to the way we feel about our business."
