Employment Practices Liability cover is designed to pay damages, judgments, settlements and defence costs which arise from breaches in employment law. To complement EEF’s HR and Legal services, EEF Insurance can provide you with a new Employment Practices Liability (EPL) insurance that is exclusive to EEF member companies who subscribe to the Tribunals & Settlements support option.
By applying for our EPL insurance product, subject to acceptance by underwriters, you can take advantage of broad coverage at a competitive premium, with your business receiving a seamless claims service from your usual EEF legal team.
Our EPL cover, underwritten by Travelers Insurance Company, gives comprehensive protection, removing many of the restrictions that exist in other products on the market, so you get the following benefits.
- A joined-up approach to dealing with employment disputes. Travelers has granted EEF delegated claims handling authority which means you deal with your normal EEF advisor when claims arise.
- Discounted premiums – EEF members can receive our new product at a discounted rate compared to other comparable EPL products.
- Simple application process - Each application is underwritten on its own merits taking into account amongst other things, your employee numbers, the robustness of your HR procedures and your previous claims history.
To receive a quote, please download and complete the appropriate proposal form. You can use the “Short Proposal Form” if you can tick the “I confirm” box on the first page. If you cannot, then please complete the “Standard Proposal Form” instead.
