The book can be purchased in conjunction with a subscription to SteelSpec, a web-based service offering the same information as contained in the book. However SteelSpec is updated regularly as new standards are published and older ones withdrawn. SteelSpec also has a search capability to find all steel grades meeting defined composition and property requirements.

- Price including postage and packing to UK only (VAT zero rated) - £90.
- For non-UK deliveries add £15.
- Bulk discount of 10% available on the above price on orders of 10 copies or more. (Note that this discount is not available on the members prices prices.)
- Special discounted price for UK Steel members only (UK only) - £70 (Non-UK offices £85.)
- Special discounted price for EEF and NASS members - £80. (Non-UK orders £95.)
- Package price for book when ordered with annual subscription to SteelSpec (at £90 plus VAT) - £175.75 including VAT. This is equivalent to a discounted price for the book of £70.
