The model documents are for guidance only. They have not been exclusively written for your organisation and you will need to consider carefully whether a document is appropriate for your organisation and its exact needs.
You should bear in mind all relevant factual circumstances, including factors such as an employee's contractual terms and the contents of other policies. It is very likely that a model document will need to be modified to make it suitable for use in specific situations. If you do not understand any part of a model document, please contact EEF Northern for an explanation before you use it. We cannot accept any liability for loss arising out of the use of model documents.
If you are concerned we strongly recommend that you take advice from EEF Northern on whether a document is appropriate for your needs and on any proposed modifications and how you should implement or use the documentation.
The notes accompanying the documentation and the footnotes contained therein are for guidance only and should be omitted from the version of the final document given to employees. You must decide whether to include the passages in brackets or italics unchanged, to delete them, or, in some cases, to amend them. The brackets should them be deleted from the version given to employees.
