EEF welcomes new measures on regulation

EEF, the manufacturers' organisation welcomed today’s announcement that the government is to strengthen its better regulation efforts. In particular, it welcomed the announcement that the Prime Minister himself will chair the panel for Regulatory Accountability to review all new regulatory proposals.
Dr Ian Peters, EEF Director of External Affairs, and a member of the Better Regulation Task Force, said:

"The Prime Minister’s backing is key to tackling the threat of increasing regulation and red tape. We need to see tough action not just in the UK but also in Europe if we are to stem the regulatory tide. The EEF will work with Ministers to support these efforts."
