EEF signs agreement with ius laboris to provide international employment law advice

EEF responds to members increasing demands for high quality, trustworthy international employment law advice

EEF, the manufacturers’ organisation, has signed an agreement with ius laboris, the unique international alliance specialising in employment law, pensions and employee benefits, under which EEF will refer its member companies to ius laboris for advice in employment, pensions and employee benefits law outside the UK.

EEF is one of the UK’s leading providers of employment law, employment relations, human resources and pensions advice to some 6,000 member companies, within engineering and manufacturing.

An increasing demand for employment law advice abroad from EEF’s members initiated the agreement between EEF and ius laboris which is ideally placed to provide this service through its international network. As the largest group of independent employment law specialists, ius laboris offers member companies access to leading employment law firms around the world.

Peter Schofield, Director of Employment and Legal Affairs at EEF, commented:

“Whilst manufacturers have long benefited from our strength in the area of UK employment law, in an increasingly global environment more and more companies need advice on aspects of employment law in other countries. This agreement with ius laboris, means we can provide our members with even greater service and ensure that enquiries about overseas employment law can be dealt with, where necessary, by leading experts in the country concerned.”
