Last year we set out our ambitions for how government should work together with the manufacturing sector to create a greener and more competitive economy. We found that manufacturers were being held back by the current policy framework and set out recommendations to overcome this.
Six months on we have surveyed members to assess progress. The clear message is that the cost and time manufacturers spend on policy in this area is increasing. Furthermore, there are improvements that can be implemented to maintain the same environmental ambition but in a much more effective way.
