Our first edition of Economic Prospects in January 2010 was published against a backdrop of continued uncertainty around when the UK economy would officially emerge from recession.
We, along with most forecasters, were expecting a bumpy road to recovery with a high degree of uncertainty around continued credit constraints, the electoral cycle and a host of risks to global growth.
A year on, the outturn for most indicators across the economy has been stronger than we and most other forecasters had anticipated.
In the Economic Prospects - January 2011 report we discuss some of the potential hurdles to continued recovery in the UK economy and what these might mean for growth in 2011 and beyond.
