CIPD Certificate in Personnel Practice (CPP)

The Certificate in Personnel Practice (CPP) has been designed to introduce a wide range of practical skills that are required by today’s line managers, personnel officers and secretarial/personnel assistants. It is a level 3 qualification based on CIPD’s foundation level professional standards.

Who should attend the CIPD Certificate in Personnel Practice (CPP) course?

This training in personnel practice will be beneficial for personnel assistants, administrators, officers or anyone who supports the HR function in their organisation. No formal prior qualifications are required; however, candidates will need to have a level of numeracy, literacy and IT skills to enable them to participate and complete the assessments.

What are the benefits of attending CIPD Certificate in Personnel Practice (CPP) training?

This personnel course will enable delegates to:

  • demonstrate a wide range of knowledge and practical skills used in the HR function
  • confidently provide advice on HR issues to colleagues and managers
  • understand the wider context of the personnel function

How is the CIPD Certificate in Personnel Practice (CPP) course structured?

To reduce the number of days out of the business, we offer this personnel training on a flexible basis of 12 taught days (one per month) plus four high quality workbooks to be completed in delegates’ own time. CIPD recommends 240 hours’ study time to complete the course. This includes all taught sessions, reading and completion of all assignments.

CPP is delivered by professional tutors with established HR practitioner experience. Sessions feature guest slots delivered by employment law solicitors, barristers and HR & employee relations teams. Group size is deliberately restricted to ensure maximum participation. Delivery is through a mixture of methods and involves delegates in group exercises and discussions. Training is practical and applied rather than just theory from a text book.

Course duration is 12 days over the course of one year
