CIPD Certificate in Training Practice (CTP)

This training programme will be beneficial for training practitioners who require professional recognition in the field of training and development. It is also highly suitable for aspiring or new trainers with little experience or training, or administrators or line managers who need to gain a thorough grounding in the training cycle and the fundamentals of learning and development.

No formal prior qualifications are required; however candidates will need to have a level of numeracy, literacy and IT skills to enable them to participate and complete the assessments.

Completion of the CTP will enable delegates to:

• develop a training and development strategy which emanates from corporate objectives
• understand the training cycle, from identifying needs to evaluation
• design training to accommodate various learning processes and styles
• understand a range of training methods and resources available, including the latest technology accommodating e-learning and blended learning approaches
• develop skills in preparing and delivering training sessions using a range of interactive methods including syndicate work, case studies, role-plays and facilitation
