Course structure

Benchmarked to national standards, the ILM Level 2 Award in Team Leadership is designed primarily for developing team leaders. It is delivered by experienced tutors who have themselves held management positions. Training is practical, participative and linked back to the workplace. Tutors explore the knowledge, skills and attitudes that are required for effective team leadership.

Assessment

This training for team leaders requires delegates to carry out work-based assessments for each unit, in the form of reflective reviews. These are to be completed in the delegates’ own time. Team leaders will also be expected to develop action logs to implement in the workplace and thus ensure that they transfer their learning back to the job role.
