Managing Contractors

This course gives managers and supervisors the knowledge they need to manage contractors on-site

Legislation and case law lays down specific duties requiring employers, clients or occupiers of premises to control contractors.

Where the normal definition of construction work does not apply, then the persons in control do not have to comply with the Construction Design and Management Regulations(CDM). However, other systems and procedures are legally required and the recent HSE publication 'Managing Contractors and Joint Responsibility' needs to be followed.
