The All Party Parliamentary Steel and Metal Related Industry Group brings together Members of Parliament and Peers with steel interests.
It aims to represent the interests of UK steel producers, their employees and their communities and is supported by UK Steel and the steel trade unions.
In 2004 it was extended to include cast metals, in association with the Cast Metals Federation , and in 2005 to include metal forming, in association with the Confederation of British Metalforming .
