Steel market briefing - October 2011

This latest briefing on world market developments incorporates the World Steel Association's latest demand forecasts and the most recent developments in raw material and steel product prices.

Rebuttal of Sandbag report

Sandbag publised a report (Buckle Up!) on 6 July 2011 reviewing the operation of the EU Emissions Trading Scheme.  It included a number of rash and inaccurate statements about steel companies.  It makes a number of proposals which are frequently illogical and would be damaging to internationally traded sectors such as steel. Available for download is a detailed rebuttal of several of their claims and proposals.
