climate change

Climate change issues are never far from the headlines at the moment, which is a serious issue for industry, particularly in the form of the climate change levy. Many governments, including that of the United Kingdom, have taken this issue seriously and are attempting to change their use of fossil fuels to reduce emissions.

At EEF, we monitor the latest climate change issues. A range of measures, mainly fiscal, have been adopted, such as the Climate Change Levy, and we believe clear long-range targets and realistic mechanisms through which to achieve them are vital to address climate change in a cost effective manner, particularly for manufacturing. Climate change advice is provided to our members in the form of energy efficiency guidance, pollution control information and regular climate change news. We also provide similar engineering climate change advice for companies within the engineering sector
