This survey provide s information on the provision of rest breaks for manual and staff employees working on different shifts

What breaks are workers entitled to?

Most workers are entitled to rest breaks during the course of the working day. Under the provisions of the Working Time Regulations of 1998, employees are entitled to a rest break of 20 minutes if the working day is longer than 6 hours. Young workers under the age of 18 are provided with 30 minute in-work rest break when working longer than four and on-half hours at a stretch.
